Stop Asian Racism Zine
Lisa Taniguchi organized a fundraiser and reached out to 14 amazing Asian American + Asian Canadian creatives to contribute a piece of art to this campaign in effort fight anti-Asian racism. While anti-Asian racism always existed, the rise in hate crimes and violence against Asians throughout the pandemic has been terrifying. I contributed an illustration to this zine and worked with Lisa to create the cover design.
This risograph zine is a labour of love featuring amazing artwork printed by Moniker Press. Each piece is unique, but together they celebrate heritage, reclaim derogatory terms, and share words of hope.
$3,857.76 was raised, with 100% of proceeds going to Advancing Justice and Project 1907.
